Montgomery won the last time they faced Monte Vista and things went their way on Thursday too. The Aztecs came out on top against the Monarchs by a score of 6-3.

Erick Ramos looked comfortable as he pitched 1.2 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. What's more, he posted five strikeouts, the most he's had since back in March of 2024.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Marco Reyes, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with three runs and one triple. That's the most runs he has posted since back in May of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Ricardo Aguilar, who went 1-for-4 with three RBI and one double.

Montgomery's victory bumped their record up to 7-8. As for Monte Vista, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-13.

Coming up, Montgomery will host Ridgeview at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Monte Vista, they will head out on the road to face off against West Hills at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
