Volleyball Game Preview: Palmetto Panthers vs. Homestead Broncos

The Palmetto Panthers will head out to square off against the Homestead Broncos at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Palmetto took a loss when they played away from home on Friday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Monday. They walked away with a 3-1 victory over Braddock. The win continues a trend for the Panthers in their matchups with the Bulldogs: they've now won six in a row.

Palmetto got the W, but it wasn't easy, at least in the second set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 28-30, 25-13, 26-24.

Meanwhile, Homestead waltzed into their match on Thursday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They came within a single set of losing the streak, but they secured a 3-2 W against the Barracudas.

Homestead wouldn't go down easily and took Coral Reef into a fifth set where they got it done with a four-point win. The match finished with set scores of 21-25, 25-17, 26-28, 25-18, 15-11.

The victory got Palmetto back to even at 10-10. As for Homestead, their win was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 9-8.
