Baseball Game Preview: Hilton Head Christian Academy Eagles vs. Fairview Knights

The Hilton Head Christian Academy Eagles will be defending their home field for the first time this season when they go up against the Fairview Knights at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The two teams each escaped (but just barely!) with wins against their previous opponents.

Fairview will be up against a hot Hilton Head Christian Academy squad: the team just extended their winning streak to three. Hilton Head Christian Academy skirted past Hilton Head Island 8-6.

Hayden Brooks was excellent, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 1-for-3. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in RBI (two). Another player making a difference was Chip Hetzel, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-3.

Meanwhile, Fairview posted their closest victory since April 23, 2024 on Thursday. They had just enough and edged out Boulder 10-9. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Knights.

The team relied heavily on Cooper Neumann, who went 3-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. That home run marked the first that he launched this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Jackson Wier, who scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

Hilton Head Christian Academy pushed their record up to 4-2 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. A key ingredient in that success has been their performance when it comes to hits: they averaged an imposing ten hits in those games compared to only 4.33 in the others. As for Fairview, the victory got them back to even at 2-2.
