Basketball Game Preview: Spring Creek Gators vs. Rosewood Eagles

The Spring Creek Gators will challenge the Rosewood Eagles at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Spring Creek is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 58.5 points per game this season.

Spring Creek is probably headed into the match with a chip on their shoulder considering Midway just ended the team's three-game winning streak on Monday. They fell 60-47 to the Raiders. While losing is never fun, the Gators can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 460th, while the Raiders are ranked 224th).

Despite the loss, Spring Creek got top-tier performance from Brennan Chambers, who went 8 of 19 en route to 20 points along with five rebounds and four steals. The contest was Chambers' eighth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Darius Deal, who posted six points and three blocks.

Meanwhile, Rosewood narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past Hobbton 44-42.

Rosewood's victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 4-6. As for Spring Creek, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-7.

Spring Creek strolled past Rosewood in their previous meeting two weeks ago by a score of 66-48. Will Spring Creek repeat their success, or does Rosewood have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
