The BVCHEA HomeSchool Mustangs will square off against the Mexia Black Cats at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. BVCHEA HomeSchool is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.1 runs per game this season.

BVCHEA HomeSchool came up short against St. Joseph Catholic last Monday, falling 13-4.

Kaylee Crump was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while going 1-for-2. She has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times she's played. Tilly Slagle also deserves some recognition as she got her first hit of the season.

Meanwhile, Mexia was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost 16-10 to Itasca. One positive for the Black Cats, at least, is that this was the most points they've scored all season.

BVCHEA HomeSchool's defeat dropped their record down to 2-6. As for Mexia, their loss dropped their record down to 1-3.
