Basketball Game Preview: Westinghouse Warriors vs. Morgan Park Mustangs

The Westinghouse Warriors are taking a road trip to square off against the Morgan Park Mustangs at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Westinghouse will be strutting in after a win while Morgan Park will be coming in after a loss.

Westinghouse will bounce into Wednesday's match after beating Jones, who they had gone 2-7 against in their nine prior meetings. Westinghouse snuck past Jones with a 51-47 victory on Friday.

Westinghouse's success was spearheaded by the efforts of Jamilah Jackson, who almost dropped a double-double on 31 points and nine boards, and Amariyae Ervin, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and ten rebounds. That makes it five consecutive games in which Jackson has scored at least a third of Westinghouse's points. Tiara Harris was another key player, putting up four points.

Meanwhile, it's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 66-36, which was the final score in Morgan Park's tilt against Crane Medical on Monday. The Mustangs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Morgan Park now has a losing record at 2-3. As for Westinghouse, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 5-2 record this season.

Westinghouse beat Morgan Park 60-52 in their previous meeting back in January of 2020. Will Westinghouse repeat their success, or does Morgan Park have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
