Meanwhile, Crescent City unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Friday. They came up short against Hawthorne, falling 18-5.

Alyssa Allmon was cooking despite her team's loss, going 1-for-4 with one home run and two RBI. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in February. Tabi Smiley was another key player, scoring a run and stealing two bases while getting on base in two of her three plate appearances.

Father Lopez's loss dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Crescent City, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-4.
