Softball Game Preview: Lincolnton Wolves vs. Burns Bulldogs

The Lincolnton Wolves will head out on the road to face off against the Burns Bulldogs at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Lincolnton has given up an average of 8.8 runs per game this season, but Monday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Lincolnton is headed into Monday's contest looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their third straight game on Friday. They lost 14-2 to West Caldwell.

Meanwhile, after some red-hot attacks at the plate in their last three games, Burns finally came back down to earth on Thursday. They fell just short of East Gaston by a score of 4-2. The game snapped a strange streak: the last four times these teams have met, it?s been the away team that?s taken home the W.

Lincolnton's loss dropped their record down to 5-12. As for Burns, their defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 8-5.

Lincolnton couldn't quite get it done against Burns when the teams last played back in April of 2024 as they fell 14-9. Can the Wolves avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
