Softball Recap: Itasca Takes a Loss

Itasca was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat dating back to last season. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 4-3 heartbreaker at the hands of the Rio Hondo Bobcats.

Itasca's loss dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Rio Hondo, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 7-8-1 record this season.

Itasca wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 13-3 defeat against Kelly Catholic on the 28th. As for Rio Hondo, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 14-4 win against John Paul II on the 27th.
