Basketball Game Preview: North Forrest Eagles vs. Richton Rebels

The North Forrest Eagles will challenge the Richton Rebels at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. North Forrest will be strutting in after a victory while Richton will be coming in after a loss.

Last Monday, North Forrest blew past East Marion, posting a 47-14 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for North Forrest.

Meanwhile, Richton suffered their closest defeat since December 21, 2023 on Tuesday. They fell just short of Heidelberg by a score of 60-57. The Rebels haven't had much luck with the Oilers recently, as the team's come up short the last six times they've met.

North Forrest's victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 8-7. As for Richton, their loss ended a five-game streak of away wins and brought them to 11-8.

North Forrest was taken down by Richton 63-24 when the teams last played back in November of 2024. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Richton's Dherria Barlow, who went 7 for 15 on her way to 16 points in addition to seven rebounds and four steals.
