Baseball Recap: St. Petersburg Catholic Comes Up Short

St. Petersburg Catholic and Tampa Prep squared off in some playoff action on Thursday, but St. Petersburg Catholic had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Terrapins by a score of 2-1. The defeat continues a trend for the Barons in their meetings with the Terrapins: they've now lost three in a row.

St. Petersburg Catholic saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Alex Fabelo, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base.

St. Petersburg Catholic's loss dropped their record down to 11-16. As for Tampa Prep, they are on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 12 games. That's provided a massive bump to their 16-10 record this season.

As of now, neither St. Petersburg Catholic nor Tampa Prep have any future games scheduled.
