Soccer Game Preview: Okeechobee vs. Legacy

Okeechobee is preparing for their first district matchup of the season on Monday. They will face off against the Legacy Lions at 3:30 p.m. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Okeechobee's defense heads into the match hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Friday. They came out on top against DeSoto County by a score of 2-0. Vicente Jaimes had to tread lightly for part of the match after he was hit with a yellow card, but that was the only trouble Okeechobee got from the refs.

Meanwhile, after failing to score in their last contest, Legacy made sure to put some goals up on the board against Somerset College Prep Academy on Friday. They blew past the Spartans 4-1. The high-scoring performance was a welcome turnaround for Legacy's offense, which had struggled in the games prior.

Okeechobee's victory bumped their record up to 3-0. As for Legacy, the win got them back to even at 1-1-1.
