Basketball Recap: Alleluia Community Comes Up Short

Alleluia Community lost against Augusta Christian back in November of 2020 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Angels fell 56-46 to the Lions.

Augusta Christian's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Harris Janik led the charge by putting up 16 points. Another player making a difference was Preston Nasworthy, who posted 13 points.

Alleluia Community's loss dropped their record down to 0-2.

Looking ahead, Alleluia Community is taking a road trip to square off against John Hancock Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Augusta Christian, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Bible Baptist Christian at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Lions will be up against the Wolves' rather soft defense (which has allowed 54.25 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
