Basketball Recap: Pawnee City Takes a Loss

Pawnee City was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They had to suffer through a 62-22 loss at the hands of the Axtell Eagles. The Indians were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 36-13.

Ericca Gyhra was Pawnee City's leading scorer, having posted nine points. Cameron Ottersberg held things down on the boards with six rebounds. Kinsley Benson took the lead distributing the ball, coming up with two assists.

Pawnee City's loss dropped their record down to 6-15. As for Axtell, their victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 7-8.

Pawnee City has already played their next match (against Parkview Christian), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Axtell, they have already played their next game, a 43-30 win against Blue Valley on the 14th.
