Avon is 1-9 against Brownsburg since February of 2020 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. Meanwhile, Brownsburg had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 13.3 points) and they went ahead and made it four on Saturday. They breezed by the Stars to the tune of 68-21. The Bulldogs have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four games by 23 points or more this season.
Avon better keep an eye on Elle Mcculloch. She was instrumental in Brownsburg's win, going 5 of 7 on her way to 14 points and four steals. That's the most steals Mcculloch has posted since back in January. The team also got some help courtesy of Avery Gordon, who almost dropped a double-double on 11 points and nine boards.
Brownsburg smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 11 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least ten offensive boards in four consecutive matchups.
Brownsburg has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight contests, which provided a nice bump to their 9-2 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 61.4 points per game. As for Avon, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-5.
Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: Avon has been smashing the glass this season, having averaged 27.8 rebounds per game. However, it's not like Brownsburg struggles in that department as they've been averaging 31.3 boards. With both teams battling to corral missed shots, we'll see if one team can grab an edge.
