Softball Recap: Northwestern Comes Up Short

After some red-hot attacks at the plate in their last six matchups, Northwestern finally came back down to earth on Friday. They lost 21-2 to the Eleanor Roosevelt Raiders. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Raiders this season, with their most recent defeat being a 21-6 loss back in March.

Northwestern has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost 11 of their last 12 contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-14 record this season. As for Eleanor Roosevelt, the win was the 22nd in a row for them, bringing their record up to 22-2.

Northwestern wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 15-10 loss against Suitland on the 27th. As for Eleanor Roosevelt, they have also already played their next matchup, an 11-8 victory against Bowie on the 27th.
