Basketball Recap: Destin Takes a Loss

Destin lost against Rocky Bayou Christian back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Destin Sharks lost 54-33 to the Rocky Bayou Christian Knights. While losing is never fun, the Sharks can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 511th, while the Knights are ranked 170th).

Destin dropped their record down to 2-10 with the loss, which was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Rocky Bayou Christian, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 9-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Destin will venture away from home to take on North Bay Haven Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Rocky Bayou Christian, they will head out on the road to square off against Pensacola Christian Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
