Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask San Pedro). They came out on top against the Palos Verdes Sea Kings by a score of 7-4 on Friday. For the Pirates, this counts as revenge for the 8-5 victory the Sea Kings walked away with the last time they faced one another back in February of 2024.

San Pedro is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 4-2 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.8 runs on average over those games. Palos Verdes' record is now 5-4.

Looking ahead, San Pedro will face off against Peninsula at 3:15 p.m. on Wednesday. Peninsula has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 6.73 runs per game on average), something San Pedro will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Palos Verdes, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-2 victory against Centennial on the 22nd.
