Softball Recap: Nashua South Takes a Loss

Nashua South lost against Dover back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Purple Panthers took a 14-9 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Green Wave. Purple Panthers fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team's lost against the Green Wave since on Friday.

Cara Leblond made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. The team also got some help courtesy of Maliyah Richer-Valentin, who went 2-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and one stolen base.

Nashua South's defeat dropped their record down to 2-2-1. As for Dover, the victory got them back to even at 1-1.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Nashua South is set to take on their familiar foe Bishop Guertin at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Dover will square off against rival Bedford at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
