Volleyball Recap: Three Straight Road Victories for Lincoln Southeast

Lincoln Southeast had won three straight on the road, but on Tuesday they bumped up to 7-1 to make it four. They walked away with a 3-1 victory over the Norfolk Panthers. While the Knights didn't have the best season last year (they finished 10-26), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

Lincoln Southeast found their leader in freshman Circe Tallman, who had eight digs and two aces. Sabrina Collier-Kepler also deserves some recognition as she served her first ace of the season.

Lincoln Southeast was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 14 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least seven aces in five consecutive matches.

As for Norfolk, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-3. The loss continues a trend for them in their meetings with Lincoln Southeast: they've now lost three in a row.

Despite the defeat, Norfolk saw an underclassman step up: freshman Georgia Kluver had 16 digs and three aces. Kluver is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 12 or more in each of the last five games she's played.

Lincoln Southeast has already played their next game, a 2-1 win against Kearney on the 13th. Hopefully Norfolk paid attention to the Knights' contest: the next time they hit the field, they'll take on the Knights at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday.
