After a string of five wins, Moapa Valley's good fortune finally ran out on Wednesday. They fell just short of the Virgin Valley Bulldogs by a score of 5-3. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Pirates have suffered since March 5th.

Moapa Valley's loss was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 9-4. As for Virgin Valley, the victory (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 14-5.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Moapa Valley will host Democracy Prep Agassi Campus at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Pirates are facing the Blue Knights at the right time seeing as the Blue Knights are stuck on a five-game losing streak. As for Virgin Valley, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Del Sol at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday. The timing is sure in the Bulldogs' favor as the squad sits on five straight wins at home while the Dragons have been banged up by three consecutive losses on the road.
