Volleyball Recap: Green Canyon Comes Up Short

After flying high against Davis last Tuesday, Green Canyon came back down to earth. The Wolves lost 3-0 to the Woods Cross Wildcats on Tuesday. The Wolves were not able to make up for their loss to the Wildcats from their previous meeting back in October of 2024.

While Green Canyon was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the first set. The final score came out to 25-23, 25-19, 25-20.

Their offense was headlined by Avery Birch and Keira Birch, who picked up 14 kills apiece. They got some help from Eliza Force and her 23 assists. Keira was also solid from the service line: she led the team with two aces.

Green Canyon's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.

Coming up, Green Canyon will take on Orem at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Woods Cross, they will venture away from home to take on Syracuse at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
