Omaha South, Omaha Creighton Prep finish the year as the Cornhusker State's top boys soccer programs.
It's automatic every Monday and Tuesday during the Nebraska boys soccer season. High school soccer fans from all corners of the state login to their computers hoping the school they are loyal to moved up in the rankings, took over the top spot or made the climb into the rankings.
But what about the national rankings? Oh what a coup that would be, to find your alma mater alongside traditional powers Clover (S.C.), Jenks (Okla.) or Westminster (Atlanta). Heck, landing a Top 100 ranking would be pretty cool, too.

Scouring through the MaxPreps National Rankings, we unearthed the current national ranking for each member of Nebraska's Top 10 boys soccer teams. Rich with soccer talent, the Cornhusker State is well represented in this spring's Top 30 — and even landed one program in the Top 10 nationally.
Top-ranked and Class A state champion Omaha South kicks off Nebraska's strong national presence with the No. 6 nation ranking. Omaha Creighton Prep, Nebraska's No. 2 club, squeezed in at No. 29, while Kearney sits 76th nationally after completing an undefeated regular season.
Class B state champion Omaha Skutt Catholic and Class A state quarterfinalist Lincoln Southwest round out this week's Top 5 at No. 136 and No. 171 respectively out of the 2,285 schools that now reside in MaxPreps' national boys spring soccer rankings database. All 10 Cornhusker State schools managed to find a spot in this week's Top 300 nationally.
We used Tuesday's rankings for this week's Top 10. As you browse through the Top 10, listed on the top line is the name of the school, its won-loss record in parentheses and the school's MaxPreps power ranking. On the second line and beyond we list the school's finish at the state tournament as well as a few other tidbits of information.
With other states still in the process of determining their state soccer champions, the national rankings listed in this week's Top 10 may change.
