Basketball Recap: Metcalfe County Takes a Loss

Metcalfe County lost against Cumberland County back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Metcalfe County Hornets took a 65-57 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Cumberland County Panthers. The Hornets just can't catch a break and have now endured three defeats in a row.

Metcalfe County's loss dropped their record down to 7-15. As for Cumberland County, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 12-8 record this season.

Looking ahead, Metcalfe County won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Campbellsville at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. Campbellsville is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 54.3 points per game this season. As for Cumberland County, they will head out to take on South Warren at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
