Volleyball Recap: Suncoast Comes Up Short

Suncoast was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They came up short against the FAU High Owls, falling 3-0.

Suncoast was not able to win a set, but it sure wasn't from a lack of trying: every set was decided by three points or less. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-22, 25-23, 25-22.

Despite the defeat, Suncoast saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Amelie Rave had 12 digs and three aces. Sofia Guzman also deserves some recognition as she served her first ace of the season.

Suncoast's loss dropped their record down to 7-17. As for FAU High, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-11.

Suncoast has already played their next match, a 3-0 defeat against South Fork on the 9th. As for FAU High, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-1 victory against Don Soffer Aventura on the 9th.
