Volleyball Recap: Winchester Community Golden Falcons vs. Parke Heritage Wolves
With a playoff game on the line, Winchester Community rose to the challenge on Saturday. Everything went their way against the Parke Heritage Wolves as they made off with a 3-0 win. The victory was familiar territory for the Golden Falcons who have now won four matchups in a row.
The match finished with set scores of 25-16, 25-22, 25-23.
Winchester Community found their leader in sophomore Lydia Huston, who had ten digs. Huston has been hot recently, having posted ten or more digs the last four times she's played.
Winchester Community was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 12 aces. That's the most aces they've posted since back in August.
Winchester Community's win bumped their record up to 24-9. As for Parke Heritage, the loss snapped their winning streak at nine games and leaves them with a 21-8 record.
Winchester Community is on the road again on Saturday to play Barr-Reeve at 10:00 a.m. Barr-Reeve will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something Winchester Community surely won't give up without a fight. Parke Heritage does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
