Baseball Recap: Cornersville Takes a Loss

Cornersville came into their game on Monday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against the Mt. Pleasant Tigers, falling 12-2. The Bulldogs were not able to make up for their defeat to the Tigers from their previous meeting back in March of 2024.

Hayden Cherry made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs and stole Two bases. while going 2-for-3. Garrett Schillig was another key player, going 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one RBI.

Cornersville's loss dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Mt. Pleasant, they now have a winning record of 4-3.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Mt. Pleasant beat Cornersville by a score of 4-3 on Tuesday.
