Volleyball Recap: Duncanville Starts off Right with Win over Midlothian Heritage

Duncanville took care of business in their home opener (and then some) on Tuesday. Everything went their way against the Midlothian Heritage Jaguars as they made off with a 3-0 win. The Panthers and Pantherettes were shut out 2-0 the last time they took on the Jaguars, so the Panthers and Pantherettes were just returning the favor.

One reason for the win was Duncanville's just kept getting better, winning each set by more points than the last. The match finished with set scores of 25-18, 25-15, 25-14.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Duncanville to victory, but perhaps none more so than Jaleeya Brown, who had 19 assists and four digs. Brown is on a roll when it comes to assists, as she's now posted 18 or more in each of the last six games she's played dating back to last season. The team also got some help courtesy of Chloe Carpenter, who had ten assists and four digs.

Coming up, Duncanville will host Nimitz at 12:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Midlothian Heritage, they will face off against Amarillo at 9:00 a.m. on Thursday.
