Baseball Recap: Intermountain Christian Starts Season with Defeat at Home

Intermountain Christian unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They lost 15-1 to the Altamont Longhorns on Monday. The defeat continues a trend for the Lions in their meetings with the Longhorns: they've now lost three in a row.

Intermountain Christian saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Coy White, who went 1-for-2 with one RBI. Another was Jackson Smith, who got on base in both of his plate appearances with one stolen base and one run.

Intermountain Christian has already played their next match, a 15-11 victory against Draper APA on the 5th. As for Altamont, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, an 8-2 win against Green River on the 5th.
