Baseball Recap: Quincy Comes Up Short

Quincy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They fell 6-1 to the Plymouth South Panthers. The Presidents were not able to make up for their defeat to the Panthers from their previous meeting back in May of 2025.

Andrew Errico was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he struck out six batters over five innings while giving up just two earned (and four unearned) runs off five hits.

At the plate, Quincy saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was David Flannery, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one run.

Quincy's loss dropped their record down to 3-15. As for Plymouth South, their win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 7-9-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Quincy will welcome Hanover at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. The Hawks' pitching crew has only allowed 2.4 runs per game this season, so the Presidents' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Plymouth South, they will look to defend their home field on Sunday against Westwood at 2:00 p.m.
