Basketball Recap: Pendleton Heights Skates Past Indianapolis Bishop Chatard with Ease

There's no place like home for Pendleton Heights, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Saturday. They blew past the Indianapolis Bishop Chatard Trojans 63-33 on Monday. The Arabians have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four games by 29 points or more this season.

Pendleton Heights was led to victory by Adah Hupfer and Olivia Jones. Hupfer dropped a double-double with 22 points and 14 boards, while Jones dropped a double-double with 17 points and 14 rebounds. Thanks to that strong game, Hupfer now owns an excellent 42.9% three-point shooting accuracy. The team also got some help courtesy of Ellie Warfel, who posted nine points and four steals.

Pendleton Heights smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 17 offensive boards. That's the most offensive rebounds they've posted since back in January.

Indianapolis Bishop Chatard's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Olivia Maynard, who scored six points and six boards, and Oella Berty, who put up seven points and five rebounds. Maynard also put up two blocks, which were her first of the season.

Pendleton Heights pushed their record up to 5-2 with the victory, which was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season. Those home wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 65.8 points over those games. As for Indianapolis Bishop Chatard, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-4 record this season.

Pendleton Heights will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Mt. Vernon at 1:30 p.m. on the 6th. As for Indianapolis Bishop Chatard, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 65-62 win against Greenfield-Central on the 2nd.
