Basketball Recap: Summit Preparatory Takes a Loss

Summit Preparatory was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They lost 51-29 to the East Palo Alto Academy Bulldogs. The Huskies were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 27-7.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead East Palo Alto Academy to victory, but perhaps none more so than Dreshon Barker-Goode, who posted 23 points. That makes it three consecutive games in which Barker-Goode has scored at least a third of East Palo Alto Academy's points. Another player making a difference was Abraham Pacheco, who scored 14 points.

Summit Preparatory's defeat dropped their record down to 1-6. As for East Palo Alto Academy, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-6.

Summit Preparatory is taking a road trip to face off against San Francisco Christian at 8:00 p.m. on Thursday. Summit Preparatory is facing San Francisco Christian at the right time seeing as San Francisco Christian is stuck on a five-game losing streak. As for East Palo Alto Academy, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Pescadero at 5:45 p.m.
