Basketball Recap: Milford Extends Winning Streak to Six

Milford won against Walnut Hills last Thursday with 49 points and they decided to stick to that point total again on Monday. The Milford Eagles came out on top against the Loveland Tigers by a score of 49-36. The win was nothing new for the Eagles as they're now sitting on six straight.

Milford's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Gabby Chadwell, who posted nine points in addition to seven steals and five boards. Chadwell has been hot for a while, having posted two or more steals the last 16 times she's played. Another player making a difference was Violet Shuluga, who had 14 points and eight rebounds.

Milford has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 11 games, which provided a nice bump to their 14-3 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 55.8 points per game. As for Loveland, their defeat was their seventh straight at home, which dropped their record down to 6-11.

Milford has already played their next match (against Winton Woods), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. A feisty cat fight is on tap when the Loveland Tigers duke it out with the Little Miami Panthers at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
