Softball Recap: Beech Grove Has No Trouble Against Centerville

Beech Grove barely beat Centerville the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Hornets blew past the Bulldogs 10-2 on Friday. The victory continues a trend for the Hornets in their matchups with the Bulldogs: they've now won four in a row.

Nola Alford spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and one unearned) run on ten hits. She has been consistent: she hasn't given up more than two walks in seven consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Addison Corn, who went 4-for-5 with four runs, two stolen bases, and one double. Those four hits gave her a new career-high. Harper Moore was another key player, going 2-for-5 with three RBI and two doubles.

Beech Grove's win bumped their record up to 8-9-1. As for Centerville, they dropped their record down to 7-5 with the defeat, which was their third straight at home.
