On Wednesday Darrion Wesley pitched 0.2 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. The effort also marked the fewest walks (zero) Wesley has had since back in April of 2024. As if that's not impressive enough, the pitching appearance was his third in a row with less than one walk. On the season, he has an ERA of 2.33 over 9 innings pitched.

Wesley's effort led Los Altos over Palo Alto and he'll get a chance to do so again: the teams have a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams are at an even 5-5 against one another since May of 2019, but likely not for long.
