Basketball Recap: Marie Philip Sets Scoring Season-High Against Pennsylvania School for the Deaf + How To Watch

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Marie Philip). They managed a 47-41 victory over Pennsylvania School For The Deaf on Saturday. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Galloping Ghosts as it put an end to their four-game losing streak.

Leading Marie Philip to victory were Alexander Forfa and Luis Ortiz-Gonzalez. Forfa dropped a double-double with 14 points and 15 rebounds, while Ortiz-Gonzalez posted 18 points and eight boards. The dominant performance also gave Forfa a new career-high in assists (three). Jaylen Marchan was another key player, putting up six points along with five boards and three steals.

Marie Philip was working as a unit and finished the game with ten assists. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their assist total in four consecutive contests.

The victory was their first at home , bumping their record up to 2-5. As for Pennsylvania School For The Deaf, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.

Looking ahead, Marie Philip will venture away from home to challenge Newman at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
