Basketball Recap: Duke Comes Up Short

Duke was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their 13th straight defeat. They were beaten by the Cyril Pirates 69-11. While losing is never fun, the Tigers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Oklahoma basketball rankings (they are ranked 464th, while the Pirates are ranked 40th).

Duke's loss dropped their record down to 1-14. As for Cyril, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 10-1.

A feisty cat fight is on tap when the Duke Tigers face off against the Erick Bearcats at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Cyril, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Riverside Indian at 6:30 p.m. on January 27th.
