Softball Recap: Bethel-Tate Comes Up Short

If Bethel-Tate was riding high fresh off their 11-4 takedown of Blanchester on Wednesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Tigers took an 11-8 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Williamsburg Wildcats on Friday. The loss continues a trend for the Tigers in their meetings with the Wildcats: they've now lost three in a row.

Bethel-Tate saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Addysyn Bohl, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with one run. Jess Mahan was another, going 1-for-5 with two runs and one stolen base.

Bethel-Tate's defeat dropped their record down to 5-5. As for Williamsburg, the win keeps they at an undefeated 13-0.

Looking ahead, Bethel-Tate will be playing in front of their home fans against Cincinnati Hills Christian Academy at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Tigers' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Eagles have averaged an impressive 6.6 runs per game this season. As for Williamsburg, they will venture away from home to challenge Fairfield at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
