Softball Recap: Giles Comes Up Short

The Giles Spartans didn't have quite enough to beat the Patrick County Cougars on Wednesday and fell 4-3. The Spartans have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Addison Hylton was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-4 with three RBI and one double. That double was her first of the season.

Giles now has a losing record of 5-6. As for Patrick County, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last ten games. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-3 record this season.

Giles will challenge Bland County at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Patrick County will be paying especially close attention to the Spartans' contest: after the Spartans face off against the Bears, they'll take on Patrick County again at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
