Volleyball Recap: Seminole's Run of Seven Straight Wins Now Over + How To Watch

Seminole and Lemon Bay squared off in some playoff action on Wednesday, but Seminole had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Manta Rays by a score of 3-2. The Warhawks' loss signaled the end of their seven-game winning streak.

Seminole wouldn't go down easily and took Lemon Bay into a fifth set but they suffered a heartbreaking five-point loss. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 26-28, 25-20, 25-17, 20-25, 15-10.

Seminole's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Taylor Leide, who had 43 digs and five aces, and Lara Stefanovic, who had 25 kills, 21 digs, and four aces. Stefanovic is on a roll when it comes to kills, as she's now had eight or more in each of the last 13 games she's played. Kylee Killalea was another key player, getting 14 kills and 13 digs.

Natalie Googins was the offensive standout of the contest as she had 12 digs and five assists. That's the most assists she has posted over her last six matchups.

Seminole's loss dropped their record down to 17-10. As for Lemon Bay, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 21-9 record this season.

Seminole does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Lemon Bay, they have already played their next contest, a 3-0 defeat against North Broward Prep on the 7th.
