Basketball Recap: St. Dominic Academy Comes Up Short

St. Dominic Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They had to suffer through a 51-16 loss at the hands of the Union City Soaring Eagles. While losing is never fun, the Blue Devils can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New Jersey basketball rankings (they are ranked 264th, while the Soaring Eagles are ranked 54th).

St. Dominic Academy's loss dropped their record down to 2-8. As for Union City, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 7-3 record this season.

St. Dominic Academy will face off against Bayonne at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Union City, they will square off against Hudson Catholic at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Hudson Catholic will roll in looking for their 12th straight win, something Union City surely won't give up without a fight.
