Baseball Recap: Oak Grove Extends Road Winning Streak to Eight

Oak Grove extended their postseason success on Saturday against Petal. They had just enough and edged out the Panthers 6-4. The Warriors haven't had any issues with the Panthers recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive victory against them.

Gage Thompson tossed a big game, striking out eight batters over five innings while giving up four earned runs off six hits. That's the most strikeouts he has posted since back in March.

Oak Grove pushed their record up to 26-5 with the win, which was their eighth straight on the road. Those road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.4 runs on average over those games. As for Petal, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 18-11.
