Basketball Recap: Haltom Comes Up Short

Haltom was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 11th straight defeat. They took a 53-40 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Martin Warriors. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Buffalos this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 61-38 back in January.

Haltom's loss dropped their record down to 6-17. As for Martin, they pushed their record up to 20-12 with the win, which was their third straight on the road.

Haltom has already played their next game (against Bowie), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Martin will be playing at home against South Grand Prairie at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. South Grand Prairie knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past six contests -- so hopefully Martin likes a good challenge.
