Basketball Recap: Ralston Valley Comes Up Short

Ralston Valley and Pine Creek squared off in some playoff action on Wednesday, but Ralston Valley had to settle for second. They took a 45-37 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Pine Creek Eagles. The defeat continues a trend for the Mustangs in their meetings with the Eagles: they've now lost four in a row.

Brooklyn Stewart was her usual excellent self, dropping a double-double with 19 points and 17 boards for Pine Creek. That's the most rebounds Stewart has posted since back in December of 2024. Another player making a difference was Leekaya Burke-Perryman, who put up seven points and five steals.

Ralston Valley's loss dropped their record down to 13-12. As for Pine Creek, the victory (which was their 14th in a row) raised their record to 23-2.

Ralston Valley does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Pine Creek, they have already played their next matchup, a 38-33 win against Cherry Creek on the 8th.
