Soccer Game Preview: Conway vs. St. James

Conway is 0-10 against St. James since April of 2021 but things could change on Friday. The Tigers will be playing in front of their home fans against the Sharks at 7:15 p.m. Neither squad made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Conway is headed into Friday's contest looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their 11th straight game on Tuesday. They came up short against Myrtle Beach, falling 10-0.

Meanwhile, St. James entered their tilt with Carolina Forest on Tuesday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They never let the Panthers get on the board and left with a 1-0 victory. The score was all tied up 0-0 at the break, but St. James were the better team in the second half.

St. James' win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-6. The home victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up two goals over those five matches. As for Conway, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-13.
