After a string of four wins, Holliday's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They took a 57-44 hit to the loss column at the hands of the City View Mustangs. While losing is never fun, the Eagles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 563rd, while the Mustangs are ranked 219th).

Holliday's loss dropped their record down to 9-14. As for City View, their victory was their 12th straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 17-4.

Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Vernon the next time they take the court. City View will host Vernon at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, while Holliday will head out to face them at 6:00 p.m. on January 21st.
