Basketball Recap: Roane County Extends Winning Streak to Three

Roane County had won two straight games and Malachi Brown did his part to make it three on Friday. The Roane County Yellowjackets put the hurt on the Farragut Admirals with a sharp 72-47 win thanks in part to Brown, who dropped a double-double with 13 points and 11 boards. That's the most rebounds he has posted since back in December of 2024.

The team also got some help courtesy of Aaron Layne, who went 5-for-11 en route to 15 points and six boards. The match was his eighth in a row with at least 15 points.

Farragut lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Parker Lane, who had 11 points. Aidan Foshie was another key player, putting up six points.

Roane County's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 23-3. As for Farragut, their loss dropped their record down to 17-12.

As of now, neither Roane County nor Farragut have any future games scheduled.
