Softball Recap: Susquehannock Has No Trouble Against Northeastern

Susquehannock was handed a heart-breaking two-run defeat in their last game, but they sure didn't let that happen against Northeastern on Monday. The Warriors blew past the Bobcats 10-0. The Warriors haven't had any issues with the Bobcats recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.

Ella Wetzel made a splash while hitting and pitching. She didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out seven over five innings pitched. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't tossed less than seven strikeouts in 16 consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with two doubles and two RBI. Those two doubles gave her a new career-high.

In other batting news, Callie Shue was incredible, going 2-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. She also put up a double, which was her first of the season. Another player making a difference was Bella Higgins, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with two runs and two RBI.

Susquehannock always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .516. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Northeastern only posted an OBP of .316.

Susquehannock's record is now 12-5. As for Northeastern, their loss dropped their record down to 2-11.

Susquehannock does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Northeastern, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Central York at 4:15 p.m. on Tuesday. The Panthers will roll in looking for their sixth straight win, something the Bobcats surely won't give up without a fight.
