Basketball Game Preview: Man Hillbillies vs. Wahama White Falcons

The Man Hillbillies will challenge the Wahama White Falcons at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Man will be strutting in after a win while Wahama will be coming in after a loss.

Man is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Tuesday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Van 73-40. The Hillbillies have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight contests by 21 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, Wahama fought the good fight in their overtime matchup against Ritchie County last Tuesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Rebels by a score of 52-50. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the White Falcons have suffered since January 16th.

The loss snapped Wahama's winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 14-8 record. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 81.0 points over those games. As for Man, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-8 record this season.

Man was able to grind out a solid victory over Wahama when the teams last played back in April of 2021, winning 64-51. Will Man repeat their success, or does Wahama have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
