Randolph County will be taking part in a tournament against Oak Grove at 2:30 p.m. on Friday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.

Gracie Robinson made a splash no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only one hit over four innings pitched. Robinson was also big at the plate, going 3-for-4 with two RBI and one double. That's the most hits she has posted since back in March.
In other batting news, Bryer Thompson was incredible, scoring two runs while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances. That's the most runs she has posted since back in March. Gracie Huckeba was another key player, scoring three runs while going 3-for-4.
Randolph County always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .562. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Meanwhile, Oak Grove came tearing into Thursday's game with four straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 13 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They skirted past the Bulldogs 10-8.
Ryleigh Garrard and Gracie 'Sassy' Renz did most of the damage at the plate: Garrard went 2-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base, while Renz scored three runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3. That triple marked the first that Garrard hit this season. Another player making a difference was Aleah Dye, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI and one double.
Oak Grove's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 15-13. The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.8 runs over those games. As for Randolph County, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-6 record this season.
Friday's matchup will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Randolph County hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .316. However, it's not like Oak Grove struggles in that department as they've averaged .316. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
